NewspaperInternational justice: victims finally heard

May 6, 2025

From the abducted Ukrainian children to the mass graves of Boutcha, from the ruined cathedrals of Marioupol to the silenced dissidents of Dushanbe, the voices of the victims are no longer murmurs. They have become a cry – a call to arms, to which the law is ready to respond.

Today marks a turning point: the filing of a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the Tajik regime. The long march towards justice is moving not only towards accountability, but towards a genuine confrontation with the truth.

Over 60 cases of rape, torture, enforced disappearance, extrajudicial execution and state terror have been rigorously documented. The culprits have names. They hold official positions. And they will have to answer for their actions.

This fight goes beyond the legal framework. It is now an active front in the global resistance against a new form of fascism.

International justice is rising up, and it will strike.
