On the occasion of National Medical Workers’ Day on July 29, Ukraine pays tribute to those whose tireless work and dedication save lives every day. Medical workers, especially those operating on the front line, are essential pillars in the struggle for survival and freedom of the Ukrainian nation.
Against a backdrop of relentless conflict, doctors, nurses and other medical staff have risen up as beacons of hope. Their efforts go far beyond traditional health care. They provide support and comfort to war-wounded, victims of violence and communities devastated by attacks.
Our gratitude also goes to the members of the SBU’s Military Medical Administration, whose exceptional work has saved countless lives among Ukraine’s defenders. Their skill, dedication and perseverance are an inspiration to us all.
Their crucial role is not limited to the operating theatre or field hospital. These anonymous heroes work tirelessly in often extremely difficult conditions, putting their own lives at risk to save those of others. Their unwavering commitment is a testament to the strength of character and resilience that define the Ukrainian people.
